Colt .30 New Line Revolver, an uncommon variant from Colt's early cartridge revolver lineup. Serial number: 3774, dating to 1875. 1 3/4" barrel - according to the Colt book, barrels are "nearly always noted in the 2 1/4" length," making this example a notably rare configuration. Full nickel finish. Half-moon German silver blade fixed front sight with rear sight formed by a full groove in the topstrap. "B" inspector mark on right side of grip strap and "C" inspector stamp on cylinder along with matching serial number stampings. Matching serial number stampings found on bottom of barrel and buttstrap. Original hardwood grips. Top of barrel marked "+COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A.+" Left side of barrel etched "COLT NEW 30" and above loading groove stamped "30 CAL." Functions as it should. Overall fair condition for a 150+ year old firearm. Condition as shown in photos.
