Double action with counter-clockwise rotating 6-shot cylinder - a distinctive feature of this model. Blued finish with checkered wooden grips. Checkered ejector rod, cylinder latch, and hammer. Fixed front half-moon sight and rear sight. Encircled rampant Colt marked on left side of frame above grips. Top of barrel marked "COLT'S PT F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. PATENTED AUG. 5. 1884 NOV. 6. 88. MAR. 5. 95." Left side of barrel marked "COLT. D.A. 38." Shows honest wear consistent with age. Condition as shown in photos.
